Exciting opportunity for the experienced, successful hotel GENERAL MANAGER to manage the FIRST new Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites proto-type to be built in Memphis, located on the grounds of the Wolfchase Galleria Mall. This brand new 133-room, full-service hotel and suites is slated to open in April, 2009, and will be a worthy tribute to Holiday Inn Founder, Kemmons Wilson. On display in a specially designed space off the lobby, will be the room furnishings from the first Holiday Inn in the world! This hotel will include a Kem's Restaurant and Lounge with many of the legendary Kemmons Wilson's favorite foods. The Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites at Wolfchase will house the newest and state-of-the-art banquet space and facilities in this area of Memphis. The position will require the ability and experience to manage all areas of the hotel: recruiting, hiring, training, and developing staff positions; sharp financial expertise; excellent employee relations and guest service skills; exemplary cost management experience; self-starter with a keen eye for detail; new-hotel opening experience; excellent revenue management skills; and, a high regard for compliance with established brand and company standards and policies. The successful candidate MUST have previous experience as a full-service hotel general manager. Previous Holiday Inn GM experience is a definite plus. Working with Holidex, OPERA, HIRO, and other technical applications needed. Prior experience running a successful, profitable food and beverage operation necessary. CHA is desired but not mandatory.
